Welch’s “Share Your Moments” photo contest! #MC #sponsored

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Welch’s. I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

My family and I love sharing “what’s good” moments around our dinner table every night. It’s tough to carve out the time to do it, but it’s important that we make time as a family to share what was good about our day. We take turns discussing the days events, being sure to really emphasize what we found good about the day. Sometimes we need a reminder of what’s good and that’s where Welch’s is encouraging us to do so! By sharing our moments on Instagram with @Welchs, @Welchs on Twitter, and Welch’s on Facebook using the hashtag #sharewhatsgood. Recently, I shared a photo of my daughter’s birthday on Instagram (@DomesticDebacle)- which I really consider “sharing my good moment”!

How do you #sharewhatsgood ?

From Welch’s:

Welch’s believes in the magic of “kitchen table” moments, and has been helping families enjoy them for generations! In the time it takes to drink a glass of juice or share a sandwich, a special moment can happen. That’s why Welch’s just launched a new movement called “Share what’s good™” It’s all about sharing those special moments that occur each day with family, friends and loved ones – whether it’s at home or on the go. At Sharewhatsgood.com you’ll find a variety of great content from fun family ideas to delicious recipes. You can share photos of your every-day moments and see how others are doing the same.

Some details about the contest:

Mixin’ it Up with Chapstick MixStix This Summer!

Default post image
*Disclosure: “The ChapStick® product, information and gift have been provided by Pfizer Consumer Healthcare.

Chapstick is mixing things up this summer by introducing their new Chapstick Mixstix! Mixstix are a super-cool two sided lipbalm that offers a different flavor on each side, which can both be worn together or alone!

MixStix are available in 3 delicious sets: Lemon Berry Sorbet, Strawberry Banana Smoothie, and Green Apple Caramel! You can mix and match each set for a truly unique flavor combination, without having to carry multiple sticks. Who doesn’t love that? Consolidation at its best 😉

My favorite happens to be the Lemon Berry Sorbet, with a touch of Strawberry! I love wearing it throughout the day; whether I’m shopping, taking the kiddo to drum lessons or hanging out with friends. I know that my lips not only look great, but they also feel and taste great! Chapstick Mixstix also make a great microphone when you’re rocking out (and embarrassing your kid at the same time, not that I would know anything about that).

I typically use Chapstick to label presents. It’s a great way to present a gift to someone that gives them a little “extra” and I’m not wasting labels that don’t do much to add to the present. All I do is write a little message with a Sharpie Marker on the back, and use a highlighter to add some color! I keep several on hand for those “Oops, I forgot!” moments!

Want to know more about Chaptick Mixstix, or join in the conversation? You can find out more through their Facebook page!

Consolidating and Updating

*Disclosure: This post contains a sponsored link. However, the story is mine, and all thoughts are my own.

You know when you prepare to move, you KNOW that it’s not coming for a while, but there are things you want to get done well in advance so when the time comes it’s easier?

Whew, that was a big sentence.

Anyways, that’s where I’m at right now. Kinda. I have this little corner in my house, in my living room. It’s a bit of a home office that’s in the middle of everything. Which I guess could be good and bad. Mostly bad because I can’t get anything done when the kiddo is home from school (yeah, we’re STILL struggling with that), but good in the sense that she can play and I can keep an eye on her.

In my home office I have a small corner desk with two drawers: one for supplies, the other for files. I have outgrown both and am being eaten alive by the eruption of their contents. So much so, that I’m also working out of two bankers boxes and one of my printers is on a TV tray. Try to hide your *jealousy*.

In my little corner, there’s also a HUGE media rack that pretty much does nothing but collect dust:

Dust bunny factory.

Dust bunny factory.

All of our music is on my computer (Taking a brief moment to pray that my computer holds out another two weeks, is there a Patron Saint for that?!?) and our DvDs are pretty much neglected for streaming. So, I thought I’d take this opportunity to clear out some of that clutter and sell my CDs online and save the ones I want to keep in a case. So not only am I gaining space back, I’m also making a little cash. It’s a win-win! And once that behemoth is gone, I have a beautiful new filing cabinet that will go in its place. I’m super excited for that! Business has been so busy lately, that I’m having to completely re-do this area. I actually bought a new desk as well, but it won’t be here for a couple days.  I got a great deal on both the desk and the cabinet that I could NOT pass them up!

So what about you? Have you had to re-do any areas in your home lately? When was the last time you moved?
