I remember as a little girl sitting listening to my dad’s old Rod Stewart record Footloose and Fancy Free it had Hot Legs on it. I listened to it for YEARS. I loved Rod Stewart.  So I have listened to him over the years. I was thrilled when he finally released a new album after 20 years. Let me tell you it was worth the wait.

I am in love with this album I just can’t get enough of it. I love how heartfelt and raw it is. How honest it is. You can feel him in each of these songs and that is what makes him a true artist. I believe it is his best yet.

It isn’t the typical Rod Stewart music but if you love Rod Stewart you will love this one and if you aren’t a fan you very well could become one with this album.

My personal favorite is ‘It’s Over’. It is talking about divorce- and how it is affecting him and his kids. Gosh, you can feel it! It gave me chills the first time I heard it, and honestly every time I listen to it I have tears running down my face. I also love She Makes Me Happy.  There isn’t a song on here I don’t like, which is rare for an album. It is just that good of a CD! I am thrilled that Rod Stewart is back at it again and I can’t wait to hear what he is up to next.You can purchase the album from iTunes and Amazon. Every Easter, I always dread the giant sugar over-load that happens in my house. I am not a “sweets eater” at all, so I have a hard time loading my daughter’s Easter Basket with a ton of candy.
