Tummy Tickler!

Default post image

Okay, so I’m not the “official spokesperson” for Tummy Tickers. But… I should be. So, anyone out there from Tummy Tickler land- I’m at your service!

This morning at a play date, I noticed another mom with the Tummy Tickler set. Of course, I had to ask her what she thought about it, and also share my experience. Another mom, Jenny from Momminitup, suggested I blog about my thoughts- so here they are!

I first became a fan of this product back in 2006, when M started drinking from sippy cups. We had family in town for her 1st birthday and were running around like chickens with our heads cut off. During all the commotion, I forgot to bring a sippy cup with me. We were at Target, but she was too young to drink from a straw so juice was out. I was not about to go to give her a Coke, so I knew I needed to improvise. While I was in the juice aisle, I found this little jem:
tummy+ticklerOh yeah. They’re awesome. Not only can you open them right up and use them right there, but they are dishwasher safe (so it’s reusable and earth friendly), they don’t leak AT ALL (seriously, I’m not kidding here- 2 years later of dishwasher abuse and they are still going strong) and come in characters my daughter LOVES! They are also filled with 100% juice, so you don’t feel like a bad parent for giving them something that might be bad for them. In my years of experience buying these, they are the BEST sippy cup/ juice product in the market- and are worth every single penny you pay for them. Right now, Meijer has them on sale too, so snatch them up before I do!
Even better, they don’t need to be refrigerated. Keep them in the car, take them to the beach or museum (I like to sneak mine into the movie theater-shhh! don’t tell) and know you’re giving your kids the best when you give them Tummy Ticklers.

Free Crocs!!

Default post image

Awhile ago, I attended National Mom’s Night Out in Dayton, OH! It was hosted by the awesomest duo in our area- the lovely Jenny from Mominitup and the fabulous Andrea from Mommysnacks! We had such a great time, that we were chosen as the best MNO by Crocs and received a pair of free SHOES! I chose the BEAUTIFUL Cyprus. And when I mean beautiful, I mean ultra fabulous and stylish shoes. In fact, when I welcomed these RAWKIN‘ shoes into my home, they got their own name. So y’all I’d like you to meet the newest member of the Domestic Debacle Family:Cyprus

I call “her” Cecelia!

Now, there is a very good reason as to why I am not wearing these right now in the picture or in real life. It turns out that I’m not very good at walking. In my haste to wear these uber-cute shoes, my ankle gave out, and I sprained it. I’m avoiding the doctor at all costs, and am self-medicating my issue. So, I’m wearing a light weight brace and flip flops for now. But- the MOMENT I am better, I’ll be slapping these pretties on my pedals, and hitting the town!

G-a-a-atorade

Oh it’s my nemesiss. Red gatorade. I have no idea why my sweet DH has to drink it, or why he has to spill it on his khaki Polo jacket. I’ve tried twice getting it out with Zout. And much to my dismay, it would NOT come out.

Last night I went to Target to try to get another solution. I bought OxyClean for the first time. I’ve heard Billy Mays SCREAM at me to buy the stuff, and that it really works. And Billy Mays, you’re my hero. I. LOVE. OXY CLEAN!!!! In fact, if I were available, I’d let it court me and marry me. It not only got out the ::shudder:: Gatorade but it got out set in Balsamic Vinegar!

Oh how I adore you, my little tub of Oxy Clean…oxyclean

Disney’s version of the Easy Bake Oven

This is a review of sorts. I don’t get paid for my reviews, nor do I get anything for free. If I do, I’ll be the first to let you know. I flat-out will tell you what I think.

This product, my daughter received for her 3rd birthday. It’s the Disney Cool Baking oven. It comes with everything you need (mixes and all) except for the ice. Yes, it “cooks” with ice. I thought that was really weird considering I grew up with the “3rd degree burns” Easy Bake Oven.
Well, we gave this thing a go. It’s cool- but the mixes taste like DOG FOOD. Oh, it’s the worst taste and texture in your mouth you will ever have. I thought maybe we had done something wrong, but when I reviewed the directions for the 10Th time, I knew I was on the right path. Maybe there are some other mixes out there besides chocolate and vanilla that taste better, but if I were you, I’d stick to the Easy Bake Oven, 3rd degree burns and all.
If you’ve tried this product, and thought the same or different, please share. I’d love some thoughts.
