I am taking a small (but very earned) vacation from the ‘net for the next couple days! I don’t want you to think I forgot about you- so I’ll see you on Wednesday!

During Lent, I will be experiencing many new things in my faith formation. As some of you may/may not know, I am in the process of converting to Catholicism (RCIA catechumen). Today (Sunday) I will be involved in my Rite of Sending during the AM Mass, and then will be participating in the Rite of Election (where I am presented to our Archbishop, who won’t be there- instead it will be our area Dean) this same evening. Needless to say, it’s a big day for me. So, if you have a moment out of your busy day, I would appreciate it if you said a little prayer for me. It’s getting closer and closer to my baptism. I can’t believe it’s almost here!!
Recently, on Twitter, you might have seen me asking for prayers with not much explanation.
Well, remember the post I wrote in January?
I got some responses. Several were fantastic and supportive. Some were not.
I’ve decided to take one of the negative responses, and take excerpts from it to share with you all. Now this person, knows my parents. In fact they consider them friends.
Why am I doing this? Because there will always be people out there who do not believe abuse can happen between a parent and their child. Just because they thought they knew/know the adults. Some people don’t believe things can happen behind closed doors.
Those people look through rose-colored glasses. Or they’re brainwashed. Which is more likely the case.
