Review of Rod Stewart’s Time Album- a guest post by Andrea

Default post image

The official disclosure: I participated in this campaign for One2One Network. I received a free copy of the CD to facilitate my review. By posting, I am eligible for incentives. All opinions stated are my own.

I remember as a little girl sitting listening to my dad’s old Rod Stewart record Footloose and Fancy Free it had Hot Legs on it. I listened to it for YEARS. I loved Rod Stewart.  So I have listened to him over the years. I was thrilled when he finally released a new album after 20 years. Let me tell you it was worth the wait.

I am in love with this album I just can’t get enough of it. I love how heartfelt and raw it is. How honest it is. You can feel him in each of these songs and that is what makes him a true artist. I believe it is his best yet.

It isn’t the typical Rod Stewart music but if you love Rod Stewart you will love this one and if you aren’t a fan you very well could become one with this album.

The play list for Time is as follows.

1. ‘She Makes Me Happy’
2. ‘Can’t Stop Me Now’
3. ‘It’s Over’
4. ‘Brighton Beach’
5. ‘Beautiful Morning’
6. ‘Live the Life’
7. ‘Finest Woman’
8. ‘Time’
9. ‘Picture in a Frame’
10.’Sexual Religion’
11. ‘Make Love to Me Tonight’
12. ‘Pure Love’

My personal favorite is ‘It’s Over’. It is talking about divorce- and how it is affecting him and his kids. Gosh, you can feel it! It gave me chills the first time I heard it, and honestly every time I listen to it I have tears running down my face. I also love She Makes Me Happy.  There isn’t a song on here I don’t like, which is rare for an album. It is just that good of a CD! I am thrilled that Rod Stewart is back at it again and I can’t wait to hear what he is up to next. You can purchase the album from iTunes and Amazon. If you want to join in talking about the album on Twitter, use the #TimeWithRod official hashtag.

A Guest Post, by my good friend Tiff. You’ll be sure to get the potty humor!

Sometimes the best part of being a mom is thinking about all the fantastic ways you’ll be able to embarrass your children when they get older by retelling the tales of their youth.  Now, I’ve been doing the Mommy-Thing for 6 years, and while my library of “face reddening” stories about my kids is only just now starting to take shape (with 3 Peas in my Pod aged 6, 4, and 1), today was a doosie of a story that I can’t wait to share with some fine young woman who has the honor of dating my son.
Potty training at my house has always been uneventful.  When you are old enough to know that you have to go potty you are expected to go.  I don’t get an M&M when I go, so neither do my kids.  Because of this Pea #1 has been trained since she was 2.5, and Pea #2 has been trained …Continue Reading…

Keepin’ it clean Thursday- Kitchen edition, Mr. Clean anyone?

This week’s Keepin’ it clean comes from the great Andrea from MommyConfessionsBlog.com!

magic eraser!

You ever have that nasty stuff baked onto you casserole dishes or baking pans?

You scrub and soak but it never comes off. Well I have a little secret to getting it off.

SHH! it is a secret…(OK not really)

Take your handy little magic eraser to it and it will come right off.

No elbow grease is required.
You can also use it to clean the top of your stove. Comes out all shiny and pretty.

Debacle solved.

Cut yours in half to save big money.
