General Mills: Still making it yummy, only with less sugar!

Default post image

So General Mills is doing this AWESOME thing. They are  reducing sugar in cereals advertised to kids under 12 to single digit grams of sugar per serving. How amazing is that? Well, it only gets better- because the company has already been reducing sugar in cereals while increasing key nutrients, such as calcium and vitamin D, and providing whole grain!

And let me tell you, I need all the help I can get when it comes to getting …Continue Reading…

Crazy Uncle Jester’s review & HOLIDAY giveaway!-CLOSED

Before I get into the reviewy stuff, let me give you a little back-story…

So, I went to this rockin’ party on Halloween that had some appetizers sitting out. One in particular looked very festive. It was a block of cream cheese, with some orange jelly, with what looked like little red flakes in it poured over top. I had to try it.

Turns out curiosity can (almost) kill your tastebuds.

I took a HUGE bite of the stuff, and let me tell you, this party instatly became my favorite because of this amazing jelly! It was SPICY but oh-so- sweet at the same time!

It was the BEST and most unique tasting dip I had ever. had. in. my. whole. stinkin’. life. I never …Continue Reading…

Yoplait kids- less sugar, more fun giveaway!-CLOSED

One thing I am constantly worried about with M, is how much sugar she eats. My husband- who is addicted to the white stuff, is constantly slipping her some sugary goodness, much to my dismay. With the holidays in full throttle, it’s even worse.

But at least I know that she’ll have a yogurt with 25% less sugar than the rest of the kids’ yogurt out there!

The best part though, is that it’s fun to eat. Yoplait kids has some great colors (M prefers the Trix variety-which we buy all the time, so I was thrilled when I got some for free from Blog Spark) and it’s super creamy! It also contains NO artificial sweeteners or flavorings, so it’s …Continue Reading…

It’s a “YO PARTY” Review and Giveaway!- CLOSED

My family and I love Yo Baby. It was part of M’s first foods, so when Yo Baby from Stoneyfield farms contacted me to review their NEW Yo Baby Meals, I was thrilled!

Yo Baby meals are an awesome 3-in-1 combination of protein-packed yogurt + fruit + veggie purée in one cup. That’s right folks, all in one little cup. And you don’t have to worry about having 3 jars open at a time, thus saving you space in your fridge!

It’s simply a win-win! Baby gets her fruit & veggies, so mom and dad don’t have to worry about nutrition (or space, or time for that matter!). It’s really a one-stop shop here! And you know it’s a brand …Continue Reading…

Elk Creek Vineyards, a tale of three wines.

Recently, I was given the opportunity by Elk Creek Vineyards, to review (yes FTC, I got them for free in exchange for a review, but free booze doesn’t affect my decision on how they taste, mmkay?).

Elk Creek wines is part of a large vineyard in Owenton, KY. So what’s great about this- is yes, it’s another AMERICAN COMPANY! Can I get a YAY?!? But this is no ordinary vineyard. It’s family friendly. Really. Check out their site HERE for more information. They even have several lodging options, so where you will stay will never be an issue. There are so many things to do at Elk Creek, that it’s …Continue Reading…
