How to conquer the mold and mildew in your home.

As we’re entering the summer months, you’re probably noticing the humidity rising by the amount of frizz your hair is experiencing. Or at least, I am. For some reason, our region of Ohio has the WORST humidity. And with humidity, comes mold and mildew (ew, gross). But here are some of my tips and tricks to keep the mold and mildew away. Or delay it a bit.

To start, make sure you’re keeping things dry. Keep all surfaces wiped down, watch for leaks, and make sure the water from your tub STAYS in the tub. When spills happen on your carpet, make sure you pat the area as dry as you can, and get a fan on it as soon as possible.

In the bathroom, it’s a real struggle to keep the mold and mildew away, and I admit this is one area that drives me bonkers. If you have ceramic tiles, use dishwasher detergent and hot water to rub them down with a good sponge or brush. If you have some stubborn spots, you can use a cut lemon to rub on them and they will dissolve easily. Just make sure you leave the lemon juice on for about 15-20 minutes to let it really do it’s magic.

It’s a lot easier than you think, and by using my tips you can go longer between cleans!

Endust, Start Living Review and Coupon!

Recently I was asked by Mom Central Consulting to introduce YOU to the Dustersons! I absolutely love this video, for the laughs it provides (I mean, who doesn’t dream about her husband dusting the counters??) and Debbie  Dusterson is so awesome. Her facial expressions are the best, and I can totally relate. After watching the video you can get a $1.00 coupon off an Endust product OR by liking or sharing it, you can get a $2.00 coupon! How awesome is that?! Plus, watching and sharing it totally worth it for the giggles.

With this campaign, I was sent a pack of Endust to use in my home, and loved how well it cleaned. It took very little “elbow grease” and I only had to go over the areas I was dusting once. Endust really made my living room coffee table go from drab to fab! I also make sure that I keep a can of Endust by my front door (don’t know what I mean? Click here to find out my secret.). But the important part is that Endust did it’s job so well, that I hardly spent any time on cleaning and spent more on living.

To find out more about Endust, the Dustersons and living more like Endust on Facebook and follow them on Twitter!

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Endust. I received a product sample to facilitate my post and a promotional item to thank me for participating.
