Don’t y’all love my fancy-schmancy photography SKILLZ? Oh- and before you yell at me, I made up this plate with leftovers. There are normally a whole lot more green beans on our plates.

So I bought a sewing machine. A cheap one. A really, really cheap one. I bought the Singer basic sewing machine, and paid about $69 for it at Target. It gets the job done, even if I am new at sewing. It doesn’t have any of those fancy bells-and-whistles, but I don’t think I need them at this point either.
These cute pants were my first project. I had the close supervision of my seamstress BFF Jessi to get these puppies done (before she up and decided to move to Chi town). Oh- and fleece- isn’t so fun to sew. It take a lot of patience, which I just don’t have in my system.
Next up was this HAWT-MESS-of-a-skirt. Just don’t look close at it. Please. I do love the fabric though, and have a little leftover. I’d love to make an apron out of it, although I have no clue how to make one. Off to Joann’s!
This was the last skirt I made. I screwed it up royally too, but you can’t tell from this side (who knew you needed to hem cotton?) I also made it waaaaay too big for the person intended, so it makes a great dress-up skirt. I learned a lot from this one, so when I go to make Jen’s, it will look a lot nicer.
And this? Well, it’s a close-up of the fabric. I love, love, love the colors in this skirt!!
So this project, I give myself a pass-fail-pass (with exception).
My blog is no longer boooooooring, and I found the way to finally customize it. Whoot!
I stumbled across this site: thecutestblogontheblock.com. It is what it says. I’ve followed the directions, but can’t seem to get the background thing to work for me. Is there something I’m doing wrong? If there’s anyone out there that knows how to give my blog a “facelift”, please share!
