Cottonelle and Kroger: Giving Hope a Hand ($50 Kroger GC giveaway)

Think of your bathroom and how every item has a place – a holder for your toothbrush, a dish for your soap, containers for your makeup (or in my case drawers full). Most people take great care in making sure bathroom essentials are put away in a place of their own, except when it comes to toilet paper. I’m so guilty of just tossing the rolls, still in the grocery bag, underneath the sink. I never really think of organizing them, let alone making them look nice.

Now, to help people care for their toilet paper like never before, the Cottonelle brand is introducing new designer roll covers to put the spotlight on its most care-worthy toilet paper ever: Cottonelle Clean Care. Gone are the days of stuffing toilet paper rolls under your sink or stuffed into the bathroom corner stacked like the leaning tower of Pisa (’cause, you know, I’d NEVER do that).

Roll covers let people organize and display their toilet paper like never before, and these aint your mama’s crochet roll covers!

The Cottonelle brand is excited to bring forth a fresh modern take on a bathroom classic teaming up with another great company (Kroger) to do it for a great cause.

This October, the Cottonelle brand is asking people to care for their community by supporting an important cause- breast cancer awareness.

The Cottonelle brand is teaming up with Kroger to show support and raise breast cancer awareness through the Giving Hope a Hand® initiative.

Through Giving Hope a Hand®, Cottonelle brand and additional partner companies will assist Kroger in raising $3 million for breast cancer awareness, treatment and research in the communities we share.

In an effort to raise breast cancer awareness this October, the Cottonelle brand will be offering pink toilet paper roll covers for a limited time. It’s so pretty, and is a great way to show your support.

From September 25-October 8, visit Kroger to purchase specially marked packages of Cottonelle Clean Care, our most care-worthy toilet paper yet, and receive a printout (hello, Catalina!) with instructions on how to redeem a free pink toilet paper roll cover.

Or you could head to Cottonelle’s Facebook page to win one! It’s a fun little game of “Shuffle the Roll”.

Please help us spread the word about this great program!

Barbie goes to Charm School!

“Please, thank you, excuse me and may I.”  Are all basic manners, courtesy and etiquette that most parents strive to incorporate into our children’s everyday life. It gives them such a great foundation of not only respect for others, but also for themselves.

I’m constantly trying to teach my daughter the important lesson that not only is being courteous appropriate, but it’s also recognized and appreciated by others.

I am so excited to share with you that Barbie is releasing the new Barbie Charm School DvD this week!

At Charm School, Blair (played by the fabulous Barbie), along with her new friends Princesses Delancy and Hadley, they will learn the proper dances, tea party and table manners etiquette and of course, proper princess manners all while in an adventurous journey of self-discovery!

To celebrate the release, my daughter was given a Barbie Charm School celebration kit to share with friends.

photo3 e1316055066770 225x300

We all went to a local park to practice our charm school skills (in tiaras of course!)  and enjoy some cookies, juice and napkin folding!
We went over the place setting place mat, the Princess In Training Checklist and award stickers as we went along. Then the little ladies were given thank you cards to practice their writings of gratitude. The Queens and Kings were also provided with a check list that they could also use at their royal tables at home.

Honestly, I can’t be more happy that Barbie has come out with this DvD. For her to have been an astronaut, the president and even a nurse, it’s refreshing to see the brand go in this direction when I feel it’s truly needed.

The Barbie dolls in the line are also adorable. My daughter loves them, and I’ve already picked up a few for birthday events throughout the year (they’re very reasonably priced).

You can also celebrate at home by visiting the Barbie Charm School website!

*Disclosure: Special thanks to One2One Network for providing the Barbie Charm School gift pack so I could host the party to facilitate my review. Love them!

Crocs- Back to School!

CrocsSPLogo

Thank you to Crocs for sponsoring this blog post. Please click here to learn more about Crocs’ new Back to School line. I was selected for this sponsorship by the Clever Girls Collective. All opinions expressed here are my own.
I am so excited to announce that Crocs has introduced a brand-spankin’ new line of children’s shoes for BOTH boys and girls in grades K-8!

Considering I LOVE LOVE Crocs, not only for myself but also my entire family, this is a great back to school purchase for your kiddo(s). We’ve been so busy with school shopping lately, especially since my daughter is going to Catholic school. For the first time. Ever. I’m in one of those panic modes, not knowing what I’m going to do with my day while she’s gone… but that’s a whole ‘nother story. So back to school shopping. One thing that I love about shopping with Crocs (we even have a Crocs outlet near by, and totally love) is their options. They have great collections that everyone will love, and can find the right fit. Because they carry lines that are for both boys and girls (and even carry the coveted “no mark” soles) they are very mom-friendly. There aren’t many places that are a one-stop-shop for the whole family! Crocs are even on the approved list for our school- which says a lot!

Right now, you can check out the Crocs “They’ve Got Summer Inside” video. It’s super cute and has some LOL moments (socks anyone?).  It features nine styles from the new line, and some “Easter Eggs” hidden throughout. Find an egg, click on it, and you’ll receive a surprise with your purchase!

Here’s a hint:

Who Is Simon Miller?

No really, WHO IS SIMON MILLER?

I’m so excited to be partnering with Mom Central and P&G in promoting the latest Family Movie Night movie: Who is Simon Miller? premiering this Saturday, August 6 on NBC at 8pm ET/7pm CT

Here’s the synopsis: When unassuming geologist Simon Miller mysteriously disappears one night, the Miller family is thrown into a desperate search to find him. Simon’s wife Meredith and their two kids, Sarah, 18, and Kevin, 15, frantically search Simon’s office for information. When they find a stash of passports, all with Simon’s picture but each with a different alias, they realize that their father has been keeping more than a few secrets. Who is Simon Miller? And what has he gotten himself – and now his family – into? Not sure they can even trust the Dad they thought they knew, the Millers embark on an international mission to get him back. It’s a heart-pounding adventure that tests the limits to which families will fight for each other.

The movie stars Robyn Lively, Loren Dean, Skyler Day, Drew Koles, and Christine Baranski.

Now since I had the pleasure of working with Mom Central on this campaign, I was fortunate enough to have an advance screening of the movie.

Turn down the lights and pop your popcorn folks, this one’s a doozy.

Car chases, lying, cheating and conspiracy. And the acting isn’t that half-bad either! I totally want to be Christine Baranski when I grow up. Also- I absolutely love the Tom Clancy references too.

This movie has some severe suspense, and while not appropriate for the little ones, it will be a huge hit with the 10+ crowd.

I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of P&G and received a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.
