Disney’s Cinderella’s Royal Table Breakfast

On M’s actual birthday, I scored one of the most hottest tickets in the Magic Kingdom: Cinderella’s Royal Table Breakfast. Otherwise known as CRT. This is crack to preschool aged girls. I mean it. What makes this breakfast so special? Well, it isn’t the food. Really. But what attracts your little princess most, is the fact that 1)it’s in Cindy’s castle and 2)you get to see all the main-stream princesses in one spot. In about a 40 minute time frame. If you spend anymore time than that, you’ll see a big black knight (like the one in Monty Python, but before he lost him limbs) come out with a shiny battle-ax to get you moving along. He’ll say “NONE SHALL STAY”. Har-har.

On the Disney dining plan, this breakfast with the worst food in Disney history (which is all you can eat, but I doubt you’ll get to stay long enough to get a second plate) will set you back 2 dining credits. If not, you’re looking at about $50 per person, but it does include a picture packet to take home (even if you use your dining credits you still get this perk).

So without further ado, here are the glorious pictures of that fine morning:

Right about here is when I started to CRY like a baby:

I was still crying in this picture, which you can’t really tell, but I was (FYI: every room in my house has something Snow White in it, I am a HUGE fan):

Meeting Ariel was one of M’s highlights:

Sleeping Beauty:

Belle (not so friendly Belle as we referred to her as):

And then once breakfast was over, we headed outside to meet the one who put this all together:

She rocked. Talk about one awesome lady!

So while this wasn’t one of our favorites, I am glad we did this once. It’s certainly an experience that must be had. It’s a great time saver too, with all the mayjah princesses in one place.

Disney’s Polynesian Resort, Spirit of Aloha Luau!

We were very lucky to score this ADR early, for Disney’s Polynesian Resort, Spirit of Aloha Luau! This is a wonderful family friendly “dinner show” that is offered in the evenings. It’s all you can eat (brought to you, not a buffet), and is 2 table dining credits per person, on the Disney Dining Plan. There are tiers of where you can sit, with the first being closest to the stage, and on the floor. We were on a platform with tier 2, and I thought the seats were just as great if not better than tier 1. There is also a tier 3, and it’s on the same platform as tier 2, just more in the back. Either way, I don’t think there’s a bad seat, but sometimes you have to fight your view because of the support beams from the canopy. Yes, there is a canopy incase you get one of those Florida freak rain storms, which we had the pleasure of experiencing.

But to get the night started off right, the cast members brought everyone on stage that was having a birthday, and were taught a special little dance:

M clearly had a great time learning the dance, Minnie ears and all.

This was the dessert, somehow I forgot to take pictures of the actual food, but I could not resist taking a picture of how it was brought out to us. It was chocolate mouse, with raspberry sauce in a caramel pond (I can’t think of what else to call it!).

Our Cast Member David even surprised M with a candle, and sang to her for her birthday. It tasted as good as it looks. YUMMAY! And it was probably my favorite dessert we had the entire time we were there (but I hate sweets, so you probably shouldn’t listen to my opinion on desserts, k?).

The dancers were FANTASTIC! And sorry ladies, they are dressed to please the dads. Very little is worn…

But the men are dressed to please the moms icon wink Okay, Okay, I kid. They are traditional costumes that are used for the show.

Now, the main highlight of the night was when the fire chief came out and did his dance. The most impressive moment was when it started POURING down rain, and Mr. fire chief never blinked an eye. He did his entire routine in the rain. Talk about stamina!

And I had to include this pic of J and M:

They were both tired, and had the sillies when the night was at a close.

We all had fun at this dinner, and it was J’s moment of choice. If you’ve checked it out, let me know what you thought~and if you haven’t~get yourself a ressie ASAP!

Disney Playhouse, LIVE!

After we went to Beauty and the Beast Live, We headed over to Playhouse Disney Live. This show is a god send for tired parents, and their exhausted little ones.

Reasons?

1) It has all your child’s favorite characters, that they are used to seeing on the TV in the mornings.

MickeyPlayhouseDisney

2)It’s in an air conditioned building. Perfect for getting out of the hot Florida sun (did I mention us Ohioans are just not used to the sun?).

3. No seats. Yep. That means there is plenty of room for your child to get up and dance around. Even better? There aren’t even any steps for your kid to fall down.

This attraction was surely built with not only the toddler/preschooler in mind, but it’s a HAVEN for a tired/hot parent during a very long day. In my opinion, it’s a must do with your little ones.

Disney Advance Dining Reservations

Default Image

Remember in my previous posts, that I was babbling about the Disney Advance Dining Reservations (aka ADRs)? Well, they have been on the 90 days-out (meaning you can make your ressies 90 days before you check into your resort) and Disney is switching to the 180 days out ADRs on OCTOBER 27th, 2009! So folks, mark your calenders and get up at 7:00am to get your ADR’s on!
Remember, Cinderella’s Royal Table (CRT) breakfast and Le Cellier are the hot tickets, so ask for them first if you plan on making a reservation for either of them.

Beauty and the Beast Live, and outdoors

After our yummy (yet long lunch) at the 50′s Prime Time Cafe, we rushed to make it to Beauty and the Beast Live, on the other side of the park. We actually had to get our desserts to go, and ate them on the way there. Beauty and the Beast Live, was incredible.

I never expected to see a Broadway level show while at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It’s truly like I had gotten two tickets, for the price of one. This show, in my opinion, was worth the cost of the HWS ticket alone.

If you have a princess or a prince, they both will love this show. You get just enough villain vs princess to balance it out, for the whole family to enjoy. And as you can tell, the costuming was fantastic!

Now for my tip: while we were there, Beauty and the Beast Live was only running twice that day. Make sure that when you walk into any park, to check the schedule boards FIRST. Before doing anything else. Even visiting the ladies’ room should come second to this activity.

Always look for your “must see” showing to schedule into your day. In this case, Beauty and the Beast Live was only showing at 10:00am and 2:00pm. We missed the first showing, so our only other opportunity was to catch the 2:00pm one. While most of Disney is “wing it”, there are some things you really have to plan for!
