Hasta la vista, Wisdom Teeth.

AddComments

Tomorrow afternoon, I’ll be getting all four of my impacted wisdom teeth removed.

FINALLY.

I’ve been hospitalized for 4 days in the neuro unit because they were crushing a nerve that controls my face having problems with them for

oh…

a little over a year now.

::blush::

Finally it’s gotten to the point where prayer doesn’t take the pain away, and I need to get in to get them done.

That and my deductible has been met for the year.

I choose my surgery timing wisely. You’re welcome- insurance company.

A few weeks ago, when I scheduled my surgery, I called one of my closest friends, Andrea to fill her in. Mostly about me being petrified of someone cutting and yanking teeth out of my mouth.

Her answer?

“It’s not like anyone has died from it. Or maybe they have. I’d like to know the statistics on that.”

Um…

Panic.

I immediately tell her I have to go.

Why?

This must Googled.

And here’s the first (and only) post I read:

Let me tell you, it’s MORE than enough.

So ever since I read the post, I’ve been in a constant state of

“OMG I’M GOING TO DIE FROM GETTING MY WISDOM TEETH REMOVED!!”.

Not to be dramatic or anything…

BUT-

The doctor told me I’m going to be put completely under and it’s going to take about 4 days to recover.

My appendicitis didn’t even take that long to get over, and I was getting a rotten organ removed (which I promptly ended up pregnant after)!

So here’s to the New Year. I’m hoping I get through it in tact, and with minimal damage from my clingy 6 year-old.

And if you don’t hear from me in 4 days, make sure you email the guy who runs the above page. Although, I’d really hate for my obituary to read

“She succumbed to her teefers.”

GAH.

I’m seriously in need of prayers.
