Actually, this post should have been titled
“One of my favorite places”.
Because that’s just what it is!
I remember visiting there as a child on field trips, amazed with the entry way.
Not to mention the OMNIMAX.
And especially the exhibits.
You have so many options when you go. You can buy a pass for the entire museum itself, or you can buy them individually.
Individualy you say?
There is more than one museum on site!
Just be sure to bring comfy walking shoes if you plan on doing them all.It gets to be quite a trek!
Recently, I brought my family to share in the experience and we had an amazing (and REALLY FUN) time!
We spent the entire day in the Museum of Natural History & Science- and got to see the coolest presentation of (LIVE!) bats! EEK!
I didn’t get any pictures of it, because, well, they’re BATS people. I didn’t want to scare THEM or anything. Hmph.
But here are some pictures of our day:
We absolutely love going here in the summer- for one it’s indoors.
And air conditioned.
You learn something new every time you go there.
It’s a no-brainer activity- especially if you homeschool!
But take my advice and pack a lunch. While the tickets are really reasonable (we aren’t members at this time, so we buy them individually) and you have to pay for parking- the food court prices are a little steep.
So check them out. You won’t be disappointed. And with it being within a 45 minute drive from Dayton, it’s totally worth it.
*And no, this wasn’t a sponsored post.
