Okay, so I’ve lived in my apartment/condo/townhouse (whatever you want to call it) for 5 years now, and since I have an Oreck Platinum Pilot Cleaning system, my carpets and drapes look brand new. Not to mention that it’s gotten out on the block- so the insects know to steer clear!

It even has a bright LED light in the front, just in case you might want to vacuum in the dark. I really like that feature for vacuuming in closets.

I have a three year old and a one month old and live in a quad-level home. To have a vaccum that I can control the settings at the handle and for it to be light in weight would be a dream, especially since Im running on little to no sleep at this point. This is my favorite feature because we have pets and it seems impossible to get ALL of the hair out of the carpet, no matter how many times I vacuum!!

I would have to say that my favorite feature of the Oreck Platinum Pilot™ with 360° Glide is a tie between the fact that it weighs 10 lbs & that you can rotate the direction with moving your wrist just a little! This vacuum NEEDS to live at my house, we are getting ready to move into a house that has carpeting & we’ve only had laminate flooring throughout the whole house so it will be a whole new experience for us!

Ok, what is NOT to love about the Oreck XL Platinum Pilot…
Honestly, our vacuum is about 9 years old and it’s disgusting. It has lived through 2 dogs, a teenager and a toddler. I have been wanting to get a new one, but haven’t found one I liked until now…HELLO!
I’m pretty sure I said “wow” about all of the features, but found this one especially attractive: Extend the life of your carpets & rugs: The new, improved roller brush moves through carpet and cleans better than ever, with an increase in pick-up performance. The brush grooms the nap as it cleans, which could extend the life of your expensive flooring.

I think there are many good features. For me the fact that it is less than 10 lbs and swivels, that is an extra plus. I have 3 kids being 5 and under, and a blood hound, lets not forget the husband, there are droppings of dirt, dust, sand you name it, it is probably on my floor. If you were willing to pay $800 for it, it has to be worth it!

The best feature of the Platinum Pilot Cleaning System (aside from the fact that it is light) is the Helping Hand Ergonomically Designed Handle. I have tendonitis and this type of handle really helps when twisting around doorways.

I have more than one favorite things to say about this new Oreck, after visiting their website. I like how easily it glides and the 30 ft long power cord, that would make cleaning easier. However, I also like that it lifts the pile on the carpet while suctioning out the dirt and crumbs. I have a lot of kids and while some are now grown up and moved out, I still have three little ones who make our floors way more dirty than the other five did combined. I like the pivot feature that allows the Oreck to almost lay flat to vacuum under furniture and that it reaches all the way to the baseboard; my current vacuum seems to stop about 3 inches from the baseboard requiring me to pull out the wand to get dirt at the wall.

My favorite feature of the Platinum Pilot Cleaning system is that it can lay down almost completely horizontal to clean under furniture. Saves a LOT of backpain if you don’t have to move furniture to clean under it.

I wasn’t going to enter because I have mostly wood floors. After finally following the link I saw how powerful it is so even with 2 boys I would SO get carpet.
My favorite feature would be the amazing cleaning power. I also like the flick of the wrist turning. Since I have fybromyalgia sometimes cleaning can hurt.
