Franklin Covey: I heart you-but I’m just not sure we’re right for each other.
If there is one company out there who gets that I am a planning type- A momma, it’s Franklin Covey. I discovered them a little over 7 years ago, after J dragged me into our local Franklin Covey store in the mall.
AND OMGOODNESS, I fell on the floor, right then and there.
I was in NEUROTIC HEAVEN.
I quickly bought up every binder from Classic zips, clasps and snaps to Monarch zip, snap, handles and retractable handles. I also bought up ever accessory in between.
The only one I don’t own- is the Franklin Covey Compact binder- and guess what it comes in:
Can we say PERFECT?
It. Matches. My. Blog.
You know how I feel about polka dots…
But just because it looks good- doesn’t mean we’re MFEO (made for each other- for those of you who haven’t seen Sleepless in Seattle) right?
However, I don’t know how I’d like its Compact size- so any of you moms out there have this binder? Do you think it’s worth its $29.99 price tag?
I’m pretty picky when it comes to my planning products- so does the Compact live up to what my Classic has always done for me? I’m looking to switch because my Classic can’t fit into my purse- and now that I’m teaching preschool, I need something that’s more portable.
So tell me, if you own this binder- what are your likes and dislikes?
I’ve also been wanting to take a Franklin Covey planning class- are they worth it?

I write to big for the compact size. Funny you posted this I was getting ready to call them.

I gave up my Franklin and just got an iPhone. I just plug it in and everything from the phone is transferred to the computer and everything from the computer is transferred to the phone. Do you really still carry around a big ole planner? That’s SO 1990!

Hey girl – finally here leaving a comment
About your comment above: I have a phone that I could do those things on but, like you, I HAVE TO write things down. There’s nothing like writing stuff down in a planner/calendar!!
I’ve never bought a planner close to $30. I don’t know if I’d pay that amount for a compact size. If you write small, I’d say get it. And hey, it matches your blog… why not?!

LOVE LOVE LOVE Franklin Covey Planners!! I live by mine. It is the only way I can keep my ADD self on task. This year I bought a really fat insert(not phat-just fat). It is so fat it doesn’t fit into my favorite binder. Which, I am not going to give up. I am just going to only carry half a year at a time.
