I thought I’d give you all an update on my health.
For those of you that don’t know, I have been battling C Diff since July 22, of this year. I’ve been on several medications (7-11 daily) off and on, have had a CT scan, stays in the hospital and even a colonoscopy. All at 26.
I went off the Vanco (supposedly the miracle drug that cures this nasty super bug) the Thursday before last, and as of yesterday morning, I was doing great. But things took a turn for the worse (not nearly as bad as before mind you) and the C Diff is back. I’ve got the same symptoms, just not nearly as severe (at the moment). As soon as the symptoms emerged (within moments) I was back on the Vanco. Soooo, that’s where we are for the moment. Florastor and Vanco combo. Hopefully this will be my last round, but we’ll see!

I am so hoping that you get better soon! I think of you often, and I keep hoping you're feeling better. Stay strong and be patient, I have a feeling that your recovery is right around the corner (fingers crossed!)

So sorry to hear that you're battling C. diff, Katie. It really is a horrible super bug. Florastor has been clinically proven to help prevent and manage C. diff recurrence when used with a powerful antibiotic like vancomycin, so hopefully you'll find relief with it. Feel better!
