Make your own humidifier

Default post image

Here’s my redneck humidifier (and yep, it works)!

IMG 7331
Step 1- get a bowl (ceramic or metal work the best)
Step 2- fill the bowl with water
Step 3- place the bowl with water on top of your heat register
Step 4- fill with water as needed

It’s really that easy.

From our last Disney on Ice Experience, our Princess had an amazing time!

Enter a world of wonder where heroes and hearts prevail.  Join Ariel as she yearns to explore the world above the waves and Prince Eric breaks Ursula’s slithering spell to reclaim his one true love.  See Prince Philip defeat the evil Maleficent as she transforms herself into a fire-breathing dragon in a race against time to rescue Sleeping Beauty’s Aurora.  Be there to discover a whole new world with Jasmine and Aladdin.  And, watch in awe as the dreams of Cinderella, Belle, Snow White, Rapunzel and Tiana all come true (along with some extra special guests).  High flying jumps, daring acrobatics, breathtaking skating and lovable Disney friends are just a wish away!  Disney On Ice presents Princesses & Heroes where believing is just the beginning!

Tickets are still available, but going quickly! You can purchase them through this link today, or call a Feld group sales representative at (866) 248-8740! My family and I can’t wait to see Disney on Ice Princesses and Heroes, and hope to see you and your little ones there too! Parking at the Nutter Center is $5, so make sure you bring cash!

I received something of value from Feld Entertainment as part of their Insider Program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

Disney World 2014 Intro

Default post image

It’s been a couple years (2012 to be exact) since our last Disney World vacation. It’s been tough, with the hubs getting a new job and our financial situation we haven’t been able to go as often as we had liked. But this year we were able to make it work, and it was so worth it. Honestly, I think we made up for the 2 years we didn’t go.

We hit all 4 parks non-stop, opened and closed each one. Needless to say, we need a vacation from our vacation! We went for our daughter’s 9th birthday (yep, we took her out of school for it- more on that later) during value season and saved quite a bit. I’ll have a breakdown on the cost for you too.

I need to download our photos from the Memory Maker package (if you’re going- this is a must purchase) and as soon as I do, I’ll have a full trip report with tips and new things I’ve learned from this trip. Trust me, they’re big ones.

For now, I’ll leave you with this photo. On the left is one of our wedding photos from 2003 in the throne room at Cinderella’s Castle, and in the middle and to the right are us last week. We’ve changed a lot, but I’d say the addition was worth it!

Mabel’s Labels Ultimate Back to School Combo

Default post image

Going back to school can be stressful. Let’s be honest here. School supply lists can be a mile long, and every piece you bough has to be labeled. That means each and every one of those 24 crayons has to have your child’s name on it. The task can be daunting and time-consuming. And frankly, “aint nobody got time for ‘dat”. So Mabel’s Labels sent me their Ultimate Back to School Combo to save me time, energy, and frustration because my daughter was able to label all of her school supplies WITHOUT my supervision. That’s right, child labor FTW!
